Discover The Power Of RSS as a Link Building Service and For Page One Rankings

Today’s video is an introduction to the incredible power of RSS and how it can easily get you to page one as a fantastic link building service.

Very few Internet Marketers seem to use RSS, or if they do, it’s not to use as an effective link building service or to dominate the front page of Google. It’s to monitor news and events, etc. Nothing wrong with doing that, but why not also use it to help dominate the search engines?

Seeing as though that is what we are all about (dominating the search engines), I felt it was time to fill you in on just how easy it can be.

Try this strategy yourself, and watch how quickly you will get a quality backlink to your website, and then how well it ranks in the search engines.

When I first showed my brother Anthony this, it actually got him to put down his guitar for a while!!
Our video (the top one) makes mention of a YouTube video that teaches the basics about RSS (Really Simple Syndication).

Think of RSS as for web pages what syndication is for successful TV shows. For example Seinfeld got syndicated all over the world to numerous TV channels. RSS can be used to do the same for your webpages.

The YouTube video gives you a base overview of RSS, but note that is not from an Internet Marketers perspective.

You can tell the YouTube video below is not ours (because you can probably understand the accent, it’s not an Aussie accent like mine!).

Anyway, the perspective in that video is from the consumer point of view, and that is how 99% of Internet Marketers in my experience see RSS.

And they miss out on the power of using it as a result!

That’s all set to change now, because you will see just what RSS can do for you and your promotions.

    Hi Tim, Anthony,
    I’d never really understood RSS before finding you guys, but that was probably because it was never explained in plain English (or Aussie) before, and always seemed to complicated. Thanks for simple explanation, and easy to follow videos.
    I submitted my first feed yesterday 31/10/2009 and checked this morning and it hit page 1 on google.
    The 2nd video is cool too, a fresh take on screen capture.

    I’ve been trying to add my feed from one of my niche sites to feedagg.com. It keeps telling me it does not find a recognizable rss feed. Is this possibly because I have burned it through feedburner?

    If so, how do I use this strategy if I’ve already burned my RSS feed?

    Thanks for the videos, they have been very informative…

    I have a question, I experimented with a few new regged domains of mine and before I followed your web 2.0 methods I submitted my domains to 17 high PR social bookmarking sites which have a ‘do-follow’ policy…

    This wasn’t all at once but over a couple of days, is this practice a red flag to Google?

    I asked because one domain hasn’t shown at all on Google but is in position 4 on the first page on Yahoo for the keyword and the other two showed yesterday plus a feed in positions 5 and 6 on the first page of Google for the keyword but has totally dissappeared today… they don’t show on Yahoo either!

    I’ve got a feeling they may have been sandboxed…

    I’ve been mixing it up, using my own content plus an EBay feed on these sites… the only thing I changed was adding them to the PR bookmarking sites!

    You’re doing a good job here – impressive even if you are Victorian..LOL

    You asked for some input. Your information and tips are valuable becuase no-one I know is supplying the same stuff. Nearly everyone else is re-hashing other people’s stuff. That includes some of the big names – no point going there though…

    Here goes;

    1) Can we see some sample flow charts, diagrams (or similar) of how you could recommend a socialbookmarling/Web2 strategy i.e. One based on Hub, One on Squid. and say one on wikidot with all the bookmarked sites etc. pointing at the best other web2 pages…I’m sure you know what I mean – nothing better than a visual. There’s plenty of free flow chart sites to use
    2)Do you have to open a new web2 account every time you do this with a new product

    ..even if you guys don’t manage to do this, your approach is far superior to most others in your arena.

    Chris,

    Great to hear you’re having some great results. And I agree it’s easy and fast. We just started a new niche yesterday and are already on page 1 for some of the keywords, we are recording the progress and showing how we did it as well.

    Just to give you even more confidence, I have some niches with 7 entries on page one, and sometimes 25 of the first 3-4 pages !

    I’ve even had a low competition keyword with ten out of ten entries mine on page 1.

    On word of advice though, be sure to mix things up. If you do it exactly the same each time, you’ll be busted by google, and the rankings will drop.

    That’s been my experience.

    Put it this way, If I can come up with concepts like this, Google with their team of Phd’s can do it also. Staying under the radar and not leaving “footprints” is the best strategy.

    It’s worked perfectly for me.

    Keep at it and all the best.

    By the way, duplicate content is NOT a problem, this is something that is blown way out of proportion by “experts” out there. I know this for a fact because I’ve used duplicate content, sometimes identical content in some cases in 20-30 sites and never been penalized.

    It’s natural to find your rankings may slide a little after a while, and will require a bit of work to maintain, but if you “own” a niche, and are making money, that’s a no brainer, and can be completely outsourced.

    We’ll show how later.

    This is a followup to my previous post. These strategies are so strong, so simple, and so fast… it almost feels wrong for it to be this easy to rank high on Google.

    In fact, how good is this stuff? My site is 100% duplicate content, and it still made page 1 in 3 days for a primary 3-word keyword with 731,000 entries.

    My other primary and secondary keywords I’m already on Page 2, sometimes with multiple entries.

    Using these strategies, the question is not “if” I will take the top ranking spots on Google… it’s only a matter of when.

    This niche seriously is not going to even know what hit them. Now that I see how insanely easy this is, I might start flipping websites.

    Just an FYI – combining this RSS strategy along with your passing-page-rank multiple Web 2.0 strategies has me rank 13 of 377,000 within a few days for a 4-word longtail (broad search) keyword.

    Note I just registered the domain 8 days ago, and the site wasn’t live and able to be promoted until about 2 days ago.

    I should hit page 1 for this longtail by tomorrow at this rate.

    Now I’m looking forward to seeing how I do for some of my shorter keywords… that may take longer than my 14-day goal, but it should be coming soon!

    Thanks again for the tips. I’ll update you when I take Page 1 for any of my broad search keywords.

    Sorry about the audio quality, I was trying out a new mic, I will go back to the old one, and also get Anthony to do a bit more audio testing before starting a new video!

    We are just in a hurry to get this information out to your guys.

    Yahoo pipes absolutely blows me away, I am continually amazed at how easy it is to create new feeds, etc and it’s all point and click… And free.

    Hi Tim,

    Thanks for this video. I just learned about this strategy about a week ago… I applied it to an existing site of mine and went from Google Page 1 rank 3-5 up to a consistent Page 2… and it’s not even a WordPress site. One of my Squidoo pages also went up on Page 1 further for its keywords.

    I’m now trying this strategy, combined with your previous feeder strategy using a WordPress.com blog to see how quickly I can get to Page 1 for a brand new site (just launched 1 week ago).

    I’m starting to see the power of the strategy though… even without the results (yet), the logic behind it is sound.

    I’m looking forward to your next videos… particularly on Yahoo Pipes (I’m assuming that’s the RSS feed combiner).

    Lastly, like another poster mentioned the audio starts off strong but after your intro it gets considerably quieter. I was able to listen by turning up my volume considerably, though… so still got the content, even though it was mostly a rehash of something I already learned a few weeks ago.
