Using RSS Aggregators, And How To Ping New Content
Howdy everyone,
Today’s video shows you: -
- How to Find RSS feeds on websites
- How to submit these feeds to a popular RSS Aggregator, as well as showing you a few other aggregator services.
- The ins and outs of pinging content for those sites without RSS feeds.
- How to use various “pinging” sites.
Note that in future video’s, we will be covering the use of websites like Dapper which is a website that allows you to create RSS feeds from an existing website without an rss feed.
Then we will go into more detail and show you how to use Yahoo Pipes which is an incredible free site that allows you to merge RSS feeds, create new ones, and do all sorts of magical things.
It’s very geeky, but I promise not to get too excited showing you!
Anthony will make sure I don’t get too weird and technical for you.
For more of an RSS introduction, please check out the following video’s on our site.
Introduction to RSS Aggregator services (specifically, it’s importance to Internet Marketers).
A more advanced video about RSS backlinks.
Then a supplementary posts on RSS backlink strategy with friendfeed and twitter.
High Definition version
Remember, you will be able to take these principles and start applying them in your niche immediately.
Stayed tuned for more video’s. We aim to get a new one up on the blog each one to two days!
Note: You can click the Higher Definition link above to see this video in better quality. This video will open in a new window.
We welcome comments, questions, suggestions, and any other type of feedback.
Tell us what you think, and what you would like covered, etc.
Lastly, more people have been asking if we will be offering a complete step by step formula.
Well, in a nutshell….
Yes, we will be offering a limited number of our “Page One Total Control Formula” systems very soon.
Included will be a very detailed, easy to follow and implement web 2.0 formula to follow, plus weekly “Private” get togethers where will be going through every part of the system in even more detail and help you apply it to your specific circumstances.
That’s why we will only be able to offer a limited number, also as we mentioned before, we don’t want too many people jumping onto our system.
Cheers
Tim

I wonder why you don’t just show people the orange RSS button (it actually looks blue in yours in the video) in the address bar.
That’s the easiest way to find RSS feeds.
Great videos, Thanks.

Hi Tim,
I always ping all the pingable sites after writing a new post.
P.s I have a small question about another blog that I created 63 days ago, and have a PR 3 for it, is that PR normal or am I doing something here?
Thanks this is some great information. Danger
If you are using Firefox you can copy the following code and save it as a button on your tool bar to ping your sites with one click. This will work for ANY type of site be it video, blog, etc. etc.
When mass producing new pages or changing some content I like to send a ping to a bunch of update services to let them know that my page has been updated or there is some new content around. There are some pingers out there that require you to tick a bunch of boxes, enter your url and possibly even your email address. It just takes too much time. There is a pinger built into your wordpress blog but what if you need to ping an outside page like a new Squidoo lens you have just created. Here is how you can quickly create a ping button for your Firefox. Simply hit the button and your current page will get pinged.Right click on your bookmarks toolbar and create a new bookmark. Call it Ping or whatever you like. In location field copy and paste the javascript above and click on add. You are done! Navigate to the page you would like to ping and hit the button.(Courtesy exposedseo dot com)
