Yahoo Pipes And How To Merge, Filter, And Sort Multiple RSS Feeds
Today’s video is the next video in our RSS series, which shows you how to use Yahoo Pipes, a free service to manipulate multiple RSS Feeds to create another unique RSS Feed. This allows you to drive more backlinks to your website among other benefits.
We also show you how to use another free online tool dapper, to create an rss feed from a page that does not currently have one. Meaning you can then get backlinks to that website as well with RSS technology.
Please be sure to review our other RSS posts and videos for more details about how RSS can be an Internet Marketers best friend.
Be sure to take full advantage of RSS, because many other Internet Marketers do not.
Remember, you will be able to take these principles and start applying them in your niche immediately.
Stayed tuned for more video’s. We aim to get a new one up on the blog each day!
Note: You can click the Higher Definition link above to see this video in better quality. This video will open in a new window.
We welcome comments, questions, suggestions, and any other type of feedback. You can even offer some advice on how to get Anthony to do some more work. lol
Tell us what you think, and what you would like covered, etc.
Cheers

Thank you for sharing. I look forward to using Yahoo Pipes in future projects. Keep up the great work and I look forward to more videos on it.
Pipes are indeed awesome. I’ve been using them for a while now to do all sorts of crazy things. For more help with creating Pipes, checkout my Guide to Yahoo Pipes.
Tim, I found your yahoo pipes video very helpful. I first learned about yahoo pipes from Jeff Johnson. He has a free tool that lets one manually extract rss feeds much like your video demonstrated. But his tool doesn’t automatically add the combined feed to a webpage. Do you know of any way the do that on a regular basis? Perhaps in a future video you could talk about that?
HELP!! I am totally lost. Trying to download the new RSS Power Plus Plugin and cant get to first base. I have windows vista and I must be missing somthing.
Thanks
Randal
I think all of this is just fascinating. I’m slightly confused though.
If you use pipes and pull in your RSS feed from your site, as well as your friendfeed or swurl, aren’t you going to duplicate since you probably already used your site feed in friendfeed?
Just wondering if we are supposed to pick a couple of these services to use or use them all?
Thanks,
Jackie
Unfortunately, Yahoo Pipes adds a rel=nofollow to the links created in the output of the pipe. Anyway to solve that problem?
I think the intent is to maximize the juice you get from displaying the pipe feed on your webpage?
Am I correct?
If so, I can see how the “rel+nofollow” would probably help the SEO.
But what about the fact that the feed would probably qualify as being “duplicate content”?
Search engines -will- penalize your website for that. Big time.
Would someone please comment on this?
I look forward to reading your thoughts about this.
