Google Gaudi And Why You Should Be Using Website Video In Your Promotions

Google Audio Indexing is new technology that Google is currently developing that actually makes it possible to search the contents of videos.

Here is the mind numbing concept. It uses speech recognition technology to find spoken words inside videos allowing you to jump right to the point in the video where the particular words were spoken.

At the moment it’s just been rolled out as a test for the US elections and certainly is not ready for prime time. However I’m very impressed with what it is achieving already.

Can you imagine the concept of this once it is up and working?

Google can index the spoken text in Video’s. This opens up a complete new market for savvy Internet Marketers like us, who can “speak” the appropriate keywords tags and phrases we want to rank for, and allow Google to rank us accordingly. Will it be that easy? Time will tell.

Of course just how this process will work is not clear, but it’s another confirmation to me about the power of video in Internet Marketing.
It got me thinking it was time to ask you guys, what (if any) video promotion are you doing in your marketing?

Are you doing any video at all?

Are you planning to add video in soon, or in the future?

If not, you should be. The vast majority of Internet Marketers seem to ignore Video altogether, and that’s a shame because they are missing out on a potential goldmine.

A common reason I hear people come up with when asked why they are not using video  is that that have a “face for radio” or are too nervous, or it’s all too hard.

Well I hate to be the one to tell you, but savvy Internet Marketers clued up to the advantages of Video, are going to come in and take over your niche using video if you’re not careful.

One of our successful strategies is using videos in promotions.

And yes I am talking all sorts of promotions, from standard sales pages, to affiliate promotion, to AdWords landing pages, even email promotions.

If you not as good looking as either of us (lol), don’t worry you can still make a successful video.

You see the video doesn’t necessarily need to show you in the picture, it could be a PowerPoint presentation, a web page presentation, or demonstration of some software, service, or whatever it is your promoting.

Maybe you could just do a review on it. People respond to things visually a lot more than boring text on a page, don’t you ?

Of course it could actually be video of yourself doing what you do best. Remember relevance, and great quality content is the key here.

What you are trying to do is capture the interest of the viewer. You need to make a connection with him/her so that they are hopefully interested enough to visit your website in the future, or stay at your website to find out more information, or clicking on through to your affiliate link so you make that commission.

Once you’ve finished your video, you can quite easily use services like TubeMogul.com or TrafficGeyser.com to mass distribute the video’s.

This simple step alone coupled with some killer techniques we have come up with can get your well on to your way to dominating your opposition.

It’s all about using the power of authority web sites like YouTube. I’ve mentioned else that YouTube is the 3rd most popular website on the internet, in terms of visitors (according to Alexa).

And you can get yourself onto the 3rd most popular site on the Internet for free. So go do it!

Unfortunately YouTube (and many other video sites) use nofollow tags meaning a link you put on the website with your video (and you can put a link in the description and your channel) won’t count as a backlink, but it will give potential visitors an easy way to click through to your page.

In various niches we are involved in, a one time effort putting up a few video’s has given us a steady stream of visitors day in and day out.

Video is one of our domination strategies that we have perfected over the past 12 months.

And not many people seem to realize the power video has in the search engines, and how it can assist you in the sales process once your visitor is watching it.

These days, I am noticing more and more video services starting to rank in search engine results. Have you noticed that?

It’s no co-incidence, just proof that Google is placing more and more emphasis on video and if Google is placing more of an emphasis on it, should you?

For now go check out Google Gaudi. It’s a remarkable technology and is a sign of things to come.

Cheers

Tim

Great info, thanks Tim. Totally agree on the power of videos. I noticed that my Youtube videos have sent a lot of visitors to my website & many have turned into clients. The great thing is how quick it takes to create the video, upload it and start getting traffic from it. And I have to say, if you dont have a face or a VOICE for video then you can always ask a professional voice talent to record your commentary for you. Many voice artists can record and send you the mp3/wav file within 24 hours.
I would also highly recommend the FLIP camera if you choose to shoot your own videos. Fantastic little camera, great price and super quality.

    Happy video making!

Video is truly awesome, but I have over 430,000 views on youtube alone (guitar lessons) and have made very little income in return. But I continue to believe that helping others will eventually come back around.

Wow, great tips! I have been wanting to start up videos for the last week now, and this was just more conformation that I need to do it. Would love a blog post on how to do video recordings. What software is the best to use, uploading techniques, etc. I can’t wait to start posting some videos on my How to Rich Blog.
Keep up the great work guys!
